DIGIEVER Releases Firmware 71 Version
with Four Modes of Local Display Solutions

Taiwan – January 26, 2021

DIGIEVER is glad to announce that firmware 71 is officially launched for Linux-embedded DIGIEVER NVR UHD and Pro+ series. DIGIEVER introduces 2 brand new two-screen display solutions, Target Display and eMap Display, to increase monitoring flexibility. DIGIEVER also offers new backup modes for local backup and backup server to expand diversity and convenience of backup methods.

Based on DIGIEVER all-in-one NVR functionality, firmware 71 brings DIGIEVER NVR to satisfy diverse monitoring and backup requirements that deliver more value to DIGIEVER IP video surveillance solution.

Feature Highlights:

•    Liveview Local Display: Target Display & eMap Display
•    Backup Server:  Manual & Schedule Backup
•    Three External Devices for Video Backup:
      DIGIARRAY, USB Device, NAS

•    Multi-RAID Redundancy
•    Simple One-click Stream from Relay
•    User-defined Dual-stream Auto Switch

Powerful Local Display: Target Display & eMap Display

Powered by Intel CPU, DIGIEVER NVR features four modes of local display modes allowing users to deploy monitoring room via HDMI and VGA port on two monitors. In addition to Dual Display that displays the same cameras on two monitors, and Mirror Display that displays different cameras on two monitors, DIGIEVER NVR introduces Target Display that screen2 displays liveview to monitor vital regions while screen1 can be switched for liveview and playback.

Users can firmly guard the important regions such as bank counters and cashboxes on screen2 while executing liveview or watching playback videos on screen1. Users can place cameras twice on both screens to always focus on the important areas.

Moreover, DIGIEVER NVR features eMap Display that screen2 displays a static image, such as floor plan, emergency instruction and contact list while screen1 can be switched for liveview and playback anytime, which helps users to shorten event reaction time with the benefit of image’s instruction.

When an event happens, DIGIEVER NVR will instantly alert users via event log, highlight video window and video pop-out windows on screen1.  At the same time, on screen2 users can not only check the current map image but also explore up to 4 more images to find related information, such as emergency instructions or contact list, so as to largely shorten reaction time.

Backup Server: Manual & Schedule Backup

DIGIEVER NVR can become a backup server for users to preserve crucial camera videos from multiple DIGIEVER NVR. Users now can choose either schedule backup or manual backup. In firmware 71 version, DIGIEVER NVR delivers manual backup allowing users to backup key recording files of specific video period or backup all recording files at once

On the other hand, schedule backup provides users with periodical backup to save regularly important videos. Compare to schedule backup that backups new videos in real-time, manual backup is designed to backup previous recorded videos saved in DIGIEVER NVR allowing users to keep the videos of unexpected event for a longer period of time.

Three External Devices for Video Backup: DIGIARRAY, USB Device, NAS

In addition to backup video to Backup Server, users can backup videos from DIGIEVER NVR to other existing devices. DIGIEVER NVR provides three external devices for video backup to fulfill long-term video backup requirements, including DIGIARRAY, USB devices and NAS. Users can configure schedule or manual backup depending on project needs.

DIGIARRAY and USB backup belong to local video backup. DIGIARRAY is a 4-bay storage expansion unit with eSATA interface that supports hardware RAID with a maximum of 64TB storage capacity. In the new version, DIGIGEVER NVR supports NTFS format of USB devices allowing users to backup videos to a USB device with more than 2TB capacity.

NAS adopts intranet to retrieve and store videos from DIGIEVER NVR that belongs to remote video backup. To avoid network traffic and reduce network loading, users can set up task time to start to backup videos to NAS.

Additional DIGIEVER NVR FW71 Features

  • Multi-RAID Redundancy ensures recording reliability by automatic reboot and data transferring when the RAID of volume main failed.
  • Support Large-capacity USB Format: NTFS allows users to choose a suitable large-capacity USB setup to maximize the storage space, such as multiple USB backup methods, video export to USB devices and upgrade via USB.
  • Simple One-click Stream from Relay reduces deployment time with the one-click relay design and satisfies multiple simultaneous monitoring requirements.
  • User-defined Dual-stream Auto Switch allows users to define “the number of divisions” as the standard to make NVR-Client automatically switch to higher resolution.

“I believe target display and E-map display establishes a new generation of multi-task PC-less surveillance solution.” said Catherine Yeh, product manager of DIGIEVER.
