    SW-2421FM-250 is a 24-port Gigabit PoE+ Switch with ultra-high backplane capacity up to 52Gbps for large data transmission with built-in SFP cages, professional PoE port management with max. 30W output per port, max. PoE budget 250W and intelligent central switch management on DIGIEVER NVR.

SW-2421FM-250 is a 24-port Gigabit PoE+ Rack-mount Layer 2+ Full Management PoE Switch with 2 built-in SFP cages and 2 additional Gigabit uplink ports. The switch supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standard, with maximum 250 W PoE power budget, and support power device detection for easy deployment. The switch also provides industrial full management functions, such as Spanning Tree, QoS, IPv4 / IPv6 Multicast, SNMP, storm control, etc.  With reliable and easy-to-use surveillance ability, users can remotely restart network devices; create large numbers of VLANs for network efficiency, etc.  The switch is deeply integrated into DIGIEVER NVR, with intelligent central switch management.  In an intuitive web-based user interface, users can search and names switches quickly, and configure switch's IP, restart switch, toggle on/off PoE ports, and monitor PoE power consumption.

With industrial hardware design, DIGIEVER FM series PoE switch features full layer 2 network management functions to configure the switch, to monitor LAN traffic and to prioritize LAN traffic to ensure the most important surveillance data gets through.

  • QoS

Via advanced QoS feature, users are allowed to prioritize their network traffic by assigning a higher priority to critical traffic and ensure consistent network performance and can support delay-sensitive data, such as real-time surveillance video streaming.

  • VLAN

With up to 4K VLAN groups, FM series allow user to logically group devices together to isolate traffic between these groups even when the traffic is sent to the same physical switch.  The isolation of network traffic helps reduce unnecessary traffic to allow better network performance.

  • SNMP / Port Mirroring / Sampled Flow

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is designed to help network monitoring easier, and save IT staff tremendous time and resource.  In addition, Port mirroring helps to copy the switch network traffic and forward it to other port for trouble-shooting without taking network out of service.  Finally, with the use of Sampled Flow (sFlow) technology, a lot of network application in surveillance application, such as liveview and playback, can be monitored with a network analyzer to continuously monitor thousands of switch ports simultaneously.

FM series also supports various Spanning Tree standards to provide redundant paths while preventing loops that are created by multiple active paths between switches.

All DIGIEVER FM / WS series features storm control, which can be used to limit or to set thresholds for different type of network traffic, such as Broadcast, Multicast, and Unicast. And this offers user the capabilities to detect and limit the disruptive effects of a broadcast storm caused by a bridging loop.

High Availability and Additional Security

  • Link aggregation

All DIGIEVER FM / WS series provides Link Aggregation technology, which can be used to increase bandwidth by combining multiple ports into one logical link.  Besides, it also brings automatic failover and failback, that is, the traffic from a failed link is automatically switched over to other working links, therefore, achieving high availability for your DIGIEVER devices.

  • RADIUS / TACACS+
 

For higher need of security, FM series also support both RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication.  With RADIUS / TACACS+ server, each individual user session is encrypted, preventing other user from acquiring private information. And the network permissions, such as firewall policy and QoS settings, can be assigned to a single user profile, based on user identity.
