How to enable Metadata for VIVOTEK AI cameras?

After firmware version 78-2, DIGIEVER supports AI Search (Metadata) on Playback for Key Attributes and Diverse AI-Events from integraged AI cameras.  To perform AI Search (Metadata) for VIVOTEK AI cameras, please enable both metadata and event on cameras’ UI in advance:

 

Note:
Before enabling metadata and events, please:
1. Set the NVR as the camera's NTP server to keep the time synchronized between the NVR and the camera.  Please follow below steps:

1.1 Log in NVR > Date & Time > Time Zone: The IP address of the "NVR's built-in NTP server" can be used as the camera's NTP server.

 

1.2 Log in Camera > Configuration > System > General settings > Select "Synchronize with NTP Server"> Enter the IP address of the "NVR's built-in NTP server" > Click Save

 

2. Disable Zipstream features of the camera.  Please follow below steps:

1.1 Log in Camera
1.2 Go to Configuration > Media > Stream 1 > Smart stream III > Disable a) Dynamic Intra frame period b) Smart FPS c) Smart codec

 

1. Attributes
Go to VIVOTEK camera web configuration page > Application > Smart VCA

1.1 Select Smart VCA

1.2 Select  on pop-up window

1.3 Enable Protocol:

• ONVIF compliant analytics metadata output
• VCAanalytics metadata output for 3rd party platform

 

1.4 Press Save to apply the changes

 
            

2. AI-Events

2.1 Go to Rules page

2.2 Click Add to add a new rule

2.3 Select Event Type

2.4 Complete event parameter setup

2.5 Press Save to apply the changes
