FAQ

After firmware version 78-7, DIGIEVER supports AI Search (Metadata) on Playback for Key Attributes,  Diverse AI-Events, and License Plate Recognition (Vaxtor LPR) from integrated AI cameras.  To perform AI Search (Metadata) for i-PRO cameras, please enable event on cameras' UI in advance.

Note:
Before enabling metadata and events, please:
1. Set the NVR as the camera's NTP server to keep the time synchronized between the NVR and the camera.  Please follow below steps:

1.1 Log in NVR > Date & Time > Time Zone: The IP address of the "NVR's built-in NTP server" can be used as the camera's NTP server.

1.2 Log in Camera > Click  > Click Detailed settings > Click  

 

 

1.3 Click Basic > Click Advanced > Click NTP > Enter the IP address of the "NVR's built-in NTP server" > Click Set

 

1. Attributes & AI-Events
1.1 Download AI apps from i-PRO website:

Go to i-Pro website: AI People Detection/AI Vehicle Detection/AI Face Detection | i-PRO Products

1.1.1 Click DOCUMENTATION DATABASE > Firmware/Software > Software
1.1.2 Scroll down to find AI Face Detection, AI People Detection, AI Vehicle Detection
1.1.3 Click More info to enter download site.
1.1.4 Click DOWNLOAD button  under the latest firmware section.

 

1.2 Install AI apps to Camera:

1.2.1 Click 

1.2.2 Click Detailed setting
1.2.3 Click   to enter setup page
1.2.4 Select Install new Ext. Software
1.2.5 Click   
1.2.6 Select the ext. file downloaded from Step 1
1.2.7 Click 
1.2.8 Click Execute

The AI app will start to install on the camera.

 

1.3 Set up Detection Area:

Download i-PRO Configuration Tool [iCT]

Go to i-PRO Configuration Tool [iCT] (English) | i-PRO Products website

     

1.3.1 Click Download
1.3.2 Read the End-User License Agreement and click Agree
1.3.3 Save the iCT zip file to your PC.
1.3.4 Unzip the file and install the tool.

 

1.3.5 Select the network adapter
1.3.6 Choose Professional mode
1.3.7 Click Next

    

1.3.8 Select the target camera by using Search All or Filter
1.3.9 Enter Username and Password
1.3.10 Click Start

 

1.3.11 Select Ext. Software Management
1.3.12 Click App. Settings
1.3.13 Click the checkbox of the target camera
1.3.14 Choose Extension Software
1.3.15 Click Setting/Confirmation

    

1.3.16 Select Application > AI VMD

1.3.17 Click the mouse to set up detection area
1.3.18 Set up detection object & detection mode
1.3.19 Click Set to save the configuration

 

1.3.20 Select Application > AI Face Detection or AI People Detection or AI Vehicle Detection
1.3.21 Click the mouse to setup detection area for each event

 

2. LPR

*Note: To utilize i-PRO Vaxtor LPR on Data Search, the followings are required by i-PRO,
1. Insert a SD card into the camera.
2. Contact i-PRO to purchase additional licenses and complete app installation.

 

Set up LPR

    

2.1 Go to Camera's web UI > Click 

2.2 Click Detailed setting
2.3 Click   to enter setup page
2.4 Select Vaxtor LPR
2.5 A window will pop out to show the plates that camera captures.
2.6 Click 
2.7 Click Reports
2.8 Click ONVIF
2.9 Enable Active
2.10 Click   to save settings

 

2.11 Description of Function Menu:
• Plates: Display a short list of plates recently read
• Settings: Configure the OCR parameters
• Region of Interest: Define one or more regions of interest
• Reports: Configure reporting options to send reads to 3rd party software
• Blacklist: Setup blacklist
• Whitelist: Setup whitelist
• Database: Display a more comprehensive list of stored plate reads
• Log file: Display a log file of application activity, useful when debugging
• Upload config: Load an xml configuration file
• Download config: Save the current configuration file in xml format
• Load license: Install a software license
