How to Set Up Port Forwarding for CMS Server

 

1. Configure CMS Server connection port & CMS data transmission port
● Launch CMS-Server software
● Login to CMS Server: 
Enter username & password and click “Log in


● Click “Settings” icon     



● Set the following ports:
○ CMS Connection Port (example: 8100)
○ CMS Data Transmission Port (example: 8101)



● Click “Apply

2. Set up port forwarding on the router
● Access the router’s setting page
● Add port forwarding rules for both ports (port number must match settings on the CMS Server)
○ CMS connection port (example: 8100)
○ CMS data transmission port (example: 8101)


3. Connect to CMS Client
● Launch CMS-client software



● Enter the following information
○ CMS Server IP address
○ Port number (must match the CMS connection port and router’s port forwarding setting)
○ Username
○ Password
● Select preferrable UI language and application to be accessed (liveview, playback or E-Map)
● Click “Log in
