How to restore the original Camera Configuration after importing incorrect Camera Configuration?

 

FW79 introduces a time-saving Batch Camera Import function - a quick camera configuration method, to accelerate IP video surveillance deployment.  The feature enables users pre-adding multiple cameras in bulk by importing pre-prepared data to the NVR without physical devices on hand instead of entering settings manually.  However, users may encounter below situation and need to restore the original camera configuration.

 

Situation:

There have been cameras configured.

 

Incorrect camera configuration is imported by using the time-saving Batch Camera Import function.

 

Solution:

1. Save Configuration

1.1 Go to System > Save/Load Configuration

1.2 Select Save Configuration

1.3 Select Volume (NVR folder, Local USB device or PC folder)

1.4 Select Folder to save configuration in a format of cfg file

1.5 Specify the File Name

1.6 Select Camera Setting, Recording Settings, Event & Action Setting, E-Mail settings, and Server Settings

1.7 Click Apply

 

2. Delete Cameras

2.1 Go to IP Camera > Camera Settings

2.2 Tick the checkboxes of incorrectly imported cameras

2.3 Click Delete

 

3. Load Configuration

3.1 Go to System > Save/Load Configuration

3.2 Select Load Configuration

3.3 Click Load Configuration

3.4 Select Volume (NVR folder, Local USB device or PC folder)

3.5 Browse the folder to find the saved configuration

3.6 Click Apply

3.7 NVR will automatically reboot to apply the settings, and go back to the original Camera Configuration.
