How to enable Self-Signed Certificates on DIGIEVER NVR?

DIGIEVER NVR provides the option to enable HTTPS connections using self-signed certificates. This feature allows internal users to establish encrypted communication with the NVR without requiring a third-party Certificate Authority (CA).  Please follow below steps:

 

Note: All commonly-used browsers require configuration in your personal PC.

 

On NVR

1. Login NVR via Web Browser > Go to Network > Network Setup

2. Go to HTTP Service

3. Enable HTTPS and fill in a port

4. Select Create Self-Signed Certificate

5. Fill in the required info

    - For Country, enter a two-letter country code (e.g., US, TW, JP).

    - For Validity, specify the number of days (range: 7- 3650 days).

6. Click Create Certificate to generate and install the certificate

7. Click Apply

 

 

On Browser (e.g. Edge)

1. Enter the IP of NVR to access the NVR > Click Not Secure

2. Click Your connection to this site isn's secure

3. Click 

 

 

4. Click Details > Export

5. Click 

6. Click Settings

 

 

7. Click Privacy, search, and services

8. Click Security

 

 

9. Click Manage certificates

10. Click Installed by you

 

 

11. Click Import

12. Double-click the certificate to install it

13. Restart the browser to ensure the certificate is recognized

 

 

On Browser (e.g. Chrome)

1. Enter the IP of NVR to access the NVR > Click Not Secure

2. Click Certificate details

3. Go to Details

4. Click Export

 

5. Click   > Settings

6. Click Privacy and security

7. Click Security

 

8. Click Manage certificates

9. Click Installed by you

 

10. Click Import

11. Double-click the certificate to install it

12. Restart the browser to ensure the certificate is recognized
