How to recover your DS-4x00-RM UHD, DS-8x00-RM UHD, DS-16x00-RM UHD?

Before executing NVR recovery, users need to make your USB device as a boot disk.

*Please power off your NVR and remove all the HDDs before doing recovery process.

 

At PC

 

1. Download FW file from:

https://www.digiever.com/resource/Documents/Firmware/Brand/Pro2/update_5_1_0_80-3.zip

Note: Default Recovery FW is FW5.1.0.80-3. User can update the FW after dual recovery.

 

2. Unzip the FW file and copy FW file to the USB device that contains hk file.

Note: User can change the firmware file, supporting FW80-3 or later versions.
Please note that the file format:
Before 5.1.0.80-3: .bin
After 5.1.0.81: .enc

 

At NVR

 

1. Plug in USB device to NVR.

 

2. Power on the NVR and keep pressing "F12".  Enter "nvrbios".  There will be 2 partitions under your USB device.  Select "Partition 2".

 

3. The NVR will start the dual recovery process.

 

4. System runs recovery process automatically. Please wait for few minutes.

 

Note: During the process, the screen may turn black due to inactivity.  Please DO NOT power off your NVR or remove the recovery USB.

 

5. After the process is done, the NVR will shut down automatically.  Please make sure the power LED is off.

 

6. Plug out the boot disk and turn on NVR.

 

7. User can boot the NVR successfully.
