Why my remote playback page cannot play videos? (ActiveX & Add-in blocked)

If your Remote Web Browser playback page cannot dislay videos normally, please check your computer by following steps.

1. Compatibility with remote web browser

It is suggested to use the following version of each browser in Windows OS to ensure the best quality and stability:
IE 8.0 or above, Chrome 31.0.1650.57m or above, Firefox 25 or above, Opera 17.0 or above, Safari 5.1.7 or above
For IE browser, please double check if the Compatibility View is enabled.
Please refer to FAQ: How to enable IE compatibility on Remote Web Browser page?

2. Turn off Anti-virus software or add NVR application ActiveX to its white list

Some Anti virus software on your computer might block the playback ActiveX installation. It is suggested to turn off the Anti Virus software completely or add it to the white list, when you open the NVR playback page first time, in order to install the NVR playback ActiveX without interference. (Please also turn off the Anti Virus when you want to update the NVR playback ActiveX to the latest version)

3. Two application need to be installed

Please go to Computer Control Panel (Control Panel> Programs> Uninstall a program list) to double check if Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 & Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (which are essential to NVR playback) are installed.

If not, please key in below IP address on your browser to force the installation directly :
Visual C++ 2008: //NVR IP/vcredist_x86.exe
Visual C++ 2010: //NVR IP/vcredist_x86_2010_sp1.exe
And then follow the usual steps to open the NVR playback page.

4. Re-install ActiveX in playback

If the ActiveX has been installed, but the playback page is not showing normally, please try to remove the installed ActiveX, and open the NVR playback page again to ensure you are installing the latest ActiveX from the NVR.
Please refer to FAQ: Why my remote liveview/ playback page looks strange? (Reinstall ActiveX)

5. Enable "All software to run or install even if the signature is invalld" on IE browser

After Microsoft releases new security update in Interset Explorer (IE) for security concern, it may block the installation of ActiveX on your PC as below picture.

Please follow below steps to allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid.

6. NVR Date & Time setting
Please make sure NVR date & time is synchronized to your PC.

If it is still not working, please send a support request to DIGIEVER Technical Support.
