How to hot swapping an HDD in DIGIEVER NVR?

 

DIGIEVER NVR supports hot swap design to allow user to replace a failed HDD without turning off the device.

 

[Step 1] Prepare HDD and the HDD should have the same capacity as the failed HDD.


 [Step 2] Make sure the RAID in the device has the fault-tolerant ability: User can check the RAID information in Disk information page.


[Step 3] Plug out the failed HDD and plugin the new HDD.


[Step 4] Click the HDD and click “Erase data” button.


[Step 5] Unplug and plug in the new HDD again.


[Step 6] The RAID will rebuild with new HDD automatically.

 

Note: If the HDD hasn’t been used before, user can skip Step. 4.
