How to upgrade my DIGIEVER NVR?

Applied models:
DS-16X00-RM Pro(+) / DS-8X00-RM Pro(+) / DS-4X00-RM Pro(+) / DS-4X00 Pro(+) / DS-2100 Pro(+) / DS-1100 Pro(+) Series
DS-16X00-RM UHD / DS-8X00-RM UHD / DS-4100-RM / DS-4X00 UHD / DS-2X00 UHD / DS-1200 / DS-1100 / VD-0000 UHD(+) / VD-0000

Users can do NVR firmware upgrade via Remote Web Browser on Windows OS (EDGE/Chrome/Firefox/Opera browser) or Local Display (connect directly to a local monitor via HDMI, DVI-I or VGA).

 

* Note: Please reboot DIGIEVER NVR before upgrading to accelerate and to save your process time.

 

Remote Web Browser (EDGE/Chrome/Firefox/Opera browser)

[Step 1] Download the latest firmware file from DIGIEVER Download Center.

[Step 2] After downloading the file and completely unzipping the file, a file named "update.bin" will appear in your PC folder.

[Step 3] Open a web browser and log in your DIGIEVER NVR.

[Step 4] Go to "Configuration" page, select the drop down list of "System," and select "System Upgrade."

      

[Step 5] In "System Upgrade" page, press "Browse" to find the file "update.binin your PC folder and start firmware upgrading.

    

[Step 6] Once firmware upgrade finishes, NVR will reboot itself.

[Step 7] Finally, users can go to "Device Information" from the drop down list of "System," and double check the NVR firmware version.

 

Local Display (Local monitor via HDMI, DVI-I or VGA connector)

[Step 1] Download the latest firmware file from DIGIEVER Download Center.

[Step 2] After downloading and unzipping the firmware, save "update.bin" file to your USB device.

* Note: Please ensure the firmware is named "update.bin" when upgrading DIGIEVER NVR via local display.

* Note: To recognize the USB device well, please format the USB device to FAT32 file system first,and make sure you delete all other files and keep only "update.bin".

   Instructions

  (1) Click on the "My Computer" shortcut on the desktop of your computer.

  (2) Right-click the flash drive and choose the "Format" option

  (3) Change the selection under"File System" to FAT32.

  (4) Click the "Start" button to begin the formatting process.

    

[Step 3] To start local display upgrade, connect NVR to a monitor (via HDMI/ VGA/DVI-I) and insert USB device to the USB port of NVR.

[Step 4] Power on the monitor and NVR, and log in DIGIEVER NVR. 

[Step 5] Go to "Configuration" page and select "System Upgrade". When the interface shows device is "ready", you can start to upgrade NVR.

[Step 6] Once firmware upgrade finishes, NVR will reboot itself.

 

 

[DS-4000 Series/ DS-2000 Series] 

Users can do NVR firmware upgrade via remote web browser.

[Step 1] Download the latest firmware file from DIGIEVER Download Center and save the file in your PC folder.

[Step 2] Open a web browser and log in your DIGIEVER NVR.

[Step 3] Please go to "Configuration" page, select the drop down list of "System," and select "System Upgrade."

    

[Step 4] In "System Upgrade" page, press "Browse" to find the firmware file in your PC folder and start firmware upgrading.

    

[Step 5] Once firmware upgrade finishes, NVR will reboot itself.

[Step 6] Finally, users can go to "Device Information" from the drop down list of "System," and double check the NVR firmware version.
